Who we are
Bad Vibes Good Friends was founded in 2016, it began as a collective of musicians and artists who sought to break away from the insular nature of the San Diego music scene. We envisioned events that integrated graffiti, fine art, tattoo, photography and coupled it with diverse musical genres like punk, cumbia, psych, and soul.
Since then, we've organized four music festivals and over 200 shows, featuring bands such as Son Rompe Pera, Earthless, Meridian Brothers, Sure Fire Soul Ensemble, Surfbort, Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto, Frente Cumbiero, Drug Hunt, Mitchum Yacoub, This Lonesome Paradise, Brian Ellis, and many others. Artist like Thao French, Dave Warsaw, Becky Digiglio, Eyegato, Gloria Muriel and Amanda Kazemi have graced our walls. We've collaborated with brands like Pabst Blue Ribbon, Vans, Topo Chico, Bacardi, Madre Mezcal, Casa Lumbre and organizations such as WNDR Museum, and non-profits like Rollin From The Heart.
In July, we took the next step by officially launching our own record label, allowing us to release music from our favorite artists. Currently our roster consist of Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto, Drug Hunt, This Lonesome Paradise, and Son Palenque.
Our philosophy centers on authenticity, quality, and collaboration—the same ethos on which we were founded.
